This pedometer utilizes a built-in sensor to accurately count your steps, without the need for GPS tracking. By eliminating GPS usage, this device saves valuable battery life.  <li>Older devices may not count steps when the screen is locked; please note that this is not a bug, and we regretfully cannot solve this issue.</li>
